Tennessee Valley Fair : ウィキペディア英語版 | Tennessee Valley Fair
The Tennessee Valley Fair, formally named the ''Tennessee Valley Agricultural & Industrial Fair'' takes place each September at the Chilhowee Park, Knoxville, Tennessee. Students from many area schools enter contests such as food baking and agriculture. Headlining music acts also host concerts here. ==History== The precursor to the fair was the Appalachian Exposition of 1910, organized by regional businessmen and editors, which was repeated in 1911 and in 1913 (as the National Conservation Exposition). The first fair in the present pattern was the East Tennessee Division Fair in 1916. The fair was later recharted as a non-profit organization and renamed the Tennessee Valley Agriculture and Industrial Fair in 1932. Knoxville received the honor of hosting the 1982 World's Fair, in which many demonstrations took place. Several stores in Downtown Knoxville also participated.
